There are a number of options when it comes to choosing pickleball paddles. The best pickleball paddle is ultimately going to be dependent on your preference. We will show you some good options and things to consider while shopping.
When shopping for pickle ball paddles, be sure to consider the amount of grip. Depending on the player's hand size, some pickle ball players prefer thicker, more padded, grips. Also consider a pickle ball paddle's weight: 7-8 oz is average, so use that as your guide line. Also be sure to note the size hitting surface. Some pickle ball paddles offer an oversized hitting surface for a larger sweet spot.
When looking at pickleball paddles, check to see if they are made of granite. A granite pickleball paddle offers better durability and will last longer. Lastly, be sure to get a pickleball paddle with a design that you like. People at your pickleball courts will begin to recognize you with your paddle, so make sure your it looks good.
One place to purchase your pickleball paddle is from Stype Sports. Stype Sports offers nice paddles but they start in the $40 range, so they are not always a good option for people just getting into pickleball. Pickleball.com offers a wide selection of paddles, including two options for $25 or less, making it a great choice for beginners. The Pickleball Store has a larger selection than the other two sites, but their website isn't quite as easy to navigate.
Whichever pickleball paddle you end up selecting, we hope it works out for you. If you have friends that play pickleball, it may be beneficial to take a few swings with their paddles to get a feel for what you like and don't like in a paddle.
